Plagiarism Policy
Analitika: Journal of Management and Business is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. This plagiarism policy outlines the journal’s principles, screening procedures, and actions related to plagiarism and similarity in submitted and published manuscripts.
1. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as the use of another person’s ideas, words, data, or work without proper acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Direct copying of text without citation
-
Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without proper reference
-
Self-plagiarism (reuse of one’s own previously published work without disclosure)
-
Data plagiarism, including unauthorized use of data, tables, or figures
2. Similarity Check
-
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or equivalent).
-
The acceptable maximum similarity index is 20%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources.
-
Editorial evaluation focuses not only on similarity percentage but also on the context and nature of the overlap.
3. Author Responsibilities
Authors are required to:
-
Ensure that their manuscript is original and properly cited.
-
Disclose any prior publication or submission of similar content.
-
Obtain permission for the use of copyrighted materials where applicable.
4. Editorial Screening Process
-
Manuscripts with a similarity index above the acceptable threshold may be returned to authors for revision or rejected outright.
-
Editors may request clarification or revision if similarity issues are deemed minor and unintentional.
-
Manuscripts with evidence of serious plagiarism will be rejected and may result in sanctions against the author(s).
5. Plagiarism in Published Articles
If plagiarism is identified after publication:
-
The editorial board will conduct an investigation following the journal’s Retraction and Correction Policy.
-
Actions may include issuing a correction, retraction, or expression of concern, depending on the severity of the case.
6. Sanctions
In cases of confirmed plagiarism, the journal may:
-
Reject the manuscript immediately
-
Ban the author(s) from submitting to the journal for a specified period
-
Notify the author’s affiliated institution, if deemed necessary
